VWMS Bursary Competition
ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must be Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents who reside in British Columbia, are between 18-30 years of age inclusive as of the close of entries, and are presently registered in a post-secondary music program. Applicants considered professionals in their fields are not eligible.
EVALUATION: Applications are evaluated on the basis of performance level, financial need, past and present achievements, personal objectives, and the nature of the proposed program of study.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: TBD early 2024
TOTAL MONETARY AWARDS: First Prize of $3,000, and up to $5,000 for Second and Third Prize
NEW: DEI AWARD: The competitor who gives the BEST performance of a work honouring Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will be awarded the “Tony Roper Award” and a prize of $500. A brief statement of intent must be included with your application materials to be considered for this special prize. Watch for full DEI criteria to be posted on this competition page.
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS: Performance in the following VWMS concert season. Every applicant also receives a voucher worth $100 towards any service offered by Michelle Diamond Photography
